The high 10% concentration of this vitamin in the formula is supported by the zinc salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid to balance the visible aspects of the serum's potency. Contraindications: If topical vitamin C (ascorbic acid and/or methyl ascorbic acid) is used as part of skin care, it should be used in alternating times with this formulation (if vitamin C is used in the evening and this formulation in the morning). Otherwise, niacinamide could affect the integrity of the vitamin.
